Special Events
CTEG has no special events currently planned.
Previous Events:
CTEG's most recent special event was "Ending Waste and Corruption in your Public School", held Feb. 17th, 2009 at the Community Center. Featured speaker was Dr. Armand Fusco of the Yankee Institute for Public Policy.
Dr. Fusco advocates active citizen involvement in elimination of wasteful spending that detracts from schools’ educational objectives. The program focused on identifying areas of education spending where waste or abuse are most likely to occur, and described some of the tools available to taxpayers, such as citizen audit committees, to assist their elected school officials in reducing school budgets without impacting the quality of education.
